Bayerische Schlösserverwaltung: Schloss und Park Herrenchiemsee… This is in German the official name of this place. I only knew I have to go to Munich that day. But then I remembered that the highway is just going nearby a lake… and a castle. Have to admit I didn’t make any research about it. The weather was perfect in that day and I said why not, let’s go.

We had to park the car and take a boat…. yes, the castle was on island in the middle of the lake. Before we arrived to it, we took a nice and good walk through a forest. It was actually on our way, no other choice. :-) ) And then there was… impressive, surrounded by fountains and gardens. There were not so many people around, because this is just the little brother of Versailles… very similar, but still … a bit different. Not been yet to Versailles, but this one had ‘something German’ in. I loved it. I could enjoy it all, as the usual crouds from the castles were missing.

The air was incredible fresh… as there were no cars around :-) ))
