Munich Tours
Munich with its characteristics red roofs perched over white facades is one of the most picturesque cities in Europe. The city is nestled between natural abundance with mountains, lakes and forests surrounding it. So, while you are entrenched in the midst of urban culture, you are never too far away from the loving arms of Mother Nature.
A trip to the city would be incomplete without touring the famed English Gardens that house the Beer Garden which plays host to the Oktoberfest. The vast verdant expanse is the ideal location for a lazy afternoon picnic.
A tour of the Black Forest should not be left out of your itinerary either. The forest that lent its name to the delicious dessert is also the birthplace of the cuckoo clock. Ensconced in the heart of the forested area is another gem, the magic forest. One look at this place and you know where the Grimm brothers got their inspiration for their epic Hansel and Gratel. The forest is a wonderful place for a trek and also boasts of a shop that offers the perfect mementoes to be taken back home.
A tour of the city’s palaces should not be missed if you enjoy architecture. Most of these luxurious structures can be credited to the last king of Germany, King Ludwig, a proponent of absolute monarchy, he built several castles and palaces that stood witness to the sheer opulence with which the blue bloods led their lives. Most notably among his residences are the Schloss Nymphenburg and the Herrenchiemsee.
